Yesterday I went back to work after being off for 5 days in a roll. It sure was hard getting up and getting in the grove again. I can already tell this is going to be a long week. After I got home yesterday I started taking down the Christmas decorations. Why do they seem to come down faster than they went up. I had two of our 11 trees dismantled so quickly. As you can tell with 11 decorated trees I will be working on this for several nights. As soon as I figure out how to post pictures I will post them of the trees. Even though it is after Christmas I have to keep learning so that I can be better at this blogging by next Christmas.
I have been thinking about my memory verse. See post below. I am thinking about my motives for asking for things. The things I ask for can be simple like clothes, shoes, etc. or more complex like someone being healed or a new house, car, etc. Everything we have is God's and He has a perfect plan.
So I really am thinking about the things I already have. Are my motives pure on how I use these things. Am I using my house to God's glory. Is it open for His use? Am I listening to Him on how He wants me to use it? What about the clothes I wear. Am I appreciative of them or are do I see them as things that will bring me attention. Are my clothes too revealing? Am I upset when someone doesn't notice that I am wearing something new.
Lord, help me to have and use the things I have with the correct motives. Not for my reconization or gain, but for your Glory. I know Father that when I use the items I currently have with the right motives it will bring you Glory. Once I am doing this I know Father that future things I ask for will be in your will. Thank you Father for the things you have provided me with and help me Father to use these to your Glory. Amen
